Double-Sided Paper...Who doesn't love it, it's like buying two papers for the price of one...or is it? Most of the paper I buy is double-sided, so when I cut it and and stick it down, only one side is showing...the other side is covered in tape, never to be seen again. Well, I for one have had enough, I am taking a stand, and am going to start using BOTH SIDES of my double-sided paper.
"Sweet{heart}'s"
SIDE ONE
This is my niece and oldest nephew...looking so sweet together. This page was made with Lisa's "Something Old, Something New" Challenge at WeScrap! The heart lockets are my "Something Old", these have been given to me over the years. {they range from 10-20 years old} My "Something New" is the Heart, this has been cut on my NEW Big Shot, using my NEW Tim Holtz Die! Now, if you flip this page over you will find
SIDE TWO:
Side One and Two share the same piece of {back} cardstock. Quite often I will attach an envelope, to hold any photos that didn't get scrapped, to the backside of my layouts. This way, all of the photos {of the same function} stay together, in one place. On this layout, I decided to utilize this 'wasted space' by scrapping the side that would normally be 'hidden away'. This also cuts down on {a little} bulk when stuffing finished layouts into page protectors.

What a great idea. Gorgeous pages!
ReplyDeleteYour layout is so sweet. I agree, we do need to use both sides more often.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful layout and I two like using both sides of my paper, even if it means cutting it in half and gluing it to another sheet! Love Penny
ReplyDeleteThat's a wonderful idea! I'll have to try it out :)
ReplyDeleteNice LOs too!!!
What a great idea! Both layouts are awesome and love the photos!
ReplyDeleteGreat layouts! Love the photos!
ReplyDeleteWhat an absolutely adorable layout! Everything just works together so well. I'm a new follower! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat an absolutely beautiful layout! Everything about it just works so well. I'm a new follower!
ReplyDeleteSweet page! You are right about DS paper, although many times I prefer one side over the other, so I'm glad I have a choice! Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment, very appreciated.
ReplyDeleteGreat layouts Jasmine & a great idea.
ReplyDeleteI just love this idea about scrapping on both sides of your paper! Why haven't more people thought of this idea before?! It's genius! And I especially like the idea of scrapping the 'other' photos from the same event on the back.... it's kinda like an 'outtakes' reel!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely HATE double-sided paper! I always feel like I've paid for something that I can only use half of. I feel cheated and duped. I will use it for layouts that have a blast-through on them (when you cut the paper and fold it open so it looks like something has punched through your page) since you end up seeing both sides.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with the double sided paper issue and when I like both sides of the paper I do exactly what you did - use them both!! But I have to say that I like two sided paper cause when I get a set of papers I usually like at least ONE side!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove your layouts!! thanks for sharing!

Love this idea . . . never would have thought of it. I usually buy 2 of each sheet so I can use both sides, but now I won't have to . . . well, maybe I will since I just LOVE paper! :(
ReplyDeleteI have often thought about doing that when I love both sides of that paper. I may have to actually try it someday!
ReplyDeleteI too love double-sided paper. These pages are absolutely adorable!
