Construction : Paper

So, I have always LOVED using Vintage Items on my Scrappy Pages...but I am starting to have quite a collection, so I decided that I had better use some up. I decided to take step by step photos along the way.
PAINT SPLATTER
{dipped my paint brush handle into some black and navy paint/water mix}
and...
{you also get a nice shot of my messy desk...}
Have cut my 7 inch circle using my KREAXION'S Circle Cutter:
 Next, I layout all of the items I have decided to fit onto this page {8x8}...I do this step over and over and over...
 Get my tape out...and, of course, my Ice Cap {made with Chocolate Milk - not cream}, Washi-ready...plus a few more items I have decided to add...
 Attach it all down and...here's the FINISHED PRODUCT!

Taking The Road Less Traveled

Another {quick} layout on our Back Roads Tour
I had purchased these Ontario Papers a while back from THE SCRAPPING TURTLE ...and was just waiting for the perfect pics to come along.

On our 'Great Adventure' to the cottage {My Dad&Step-Ma's place} we made many fun road stops - at different 'village' signs, had the kids JUMP OUT and point, like they were visiting some amazing place, small parks, trails and other {relatively} local sites that we never take the time to explore...
{BUCK-O has just learned to 'Armpit Fart' here... luckily this does NOT happen as frequently anymore}
I used the KREAXION'S FISH {koi} PUNCH to create this small border and layered it on top of a scalloped border made with this CIRCLE CUTTER.
I marked our 'from here to there' with the heads of two pins and some red thread... I love that paper. {lol}
 Have a HAPPY Day!

Taking the Back Roads

The Scenic Route
 Every summer my Sister and I take my niece and two nephews {her kids} to my Dad&Step-Ma's for a week... Every time we make the two hour drive it is ALWAYS the same way, so we decided to take the back roads this year... turning a 2-1/2 hour trip into a 5-1/2 hour trip.

{the White Hue {right corner} is a mix of White Acrylic Paint and Water in a Mini Mister}
 We toured the countryside, stopped for a picnic lunch...and Zood had a nap in the sun. All in all it was a great time {the kids didn't fight at all...neither did Season {my sister} and I}, and it definitely beat staring at the same stretch of highway!

Thanks for stopping by!

It Is Well With My Soul...

So, I have decided to join Patter Cross in her Hymn & Scripture Challenge {2013}...when the mood strikes me {and more importantly time...lol}.
It Is Well With My Soul
{side shot of verse & song title}
 {detail shot}
I settled on Verse 3 of the hymn for my 5x7 card, using my Dymo Caption Maker to write it out
{"My sin
Oh the Bliss of this Glorious thought,
My sin, not in part, but the whole,
Is nailed to the cross and I bear it no more,
Praise the Lord,
Praise the Lord,
Oh, My Soul."}
I layered Bazzil and Authentique Papers to create a pocket for the tag. I also have a couple of rusty, square-head nails coming to me from a shop on ETSY to add to the tag...
HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY!

A {Late} Valentine!

...only a day late, better late than never...right? So, this year I decided to make my niece and nephew's Valentines that they would give out to their classmates and teachers.  Really it was just an excuse to make all of the adorable Valentine's projects I had been 'pinning' on Pinterest!

For the nephew's BUCK-O {grade 4} and ZOODLE {SK}
A FANTASTIC {and FREE} download {HERE} - just sent it to the printers, cut them up, attached them to paper with hearts all over it {not pictured} to make them into pockets and inserted the Pop Rocks!
 For BELLIE {grade 6}
And another FANTASTIC... or should I say FAN{tache}TIC VALENTINE - sent again, to my wonderful printer's {All Kindz of Copies}.  Then I just slid them through the cutter...Bellie just laid them on the desks and put the suckers on top! {EASY!}
...And for the TEACHERS!
These we so much fun to make - I made the cake plates by gluing {E600} old glasses, tea cups and other thrift store finds to small plates or saucers.  Once dry {24hours} I spray painted them a pretty pink colour {Liquitex - such pretty colours!}, added a doily, some NOT homemade brownies {I have been a bit under the weather...give me a break - lol} and the SHOOTING FOR BROWNIE POINTS printable {$1.29}
A quick wrap in some cellophane...and delivered to the teacher's desk just in time for a Great Valentine's Day!
So, now I guess I had better find some fun Easter Projects!!!
Great Days,
Jazz
