'Spring has Sprung'
Okay, if I am being honest this started out as an 'explosion card', then I became frustrated...set it to the side for a while, and then cut it up {meaning to 'dispose of it'}, decided it looked {somewhat} like a quilt and {finally} made this 'easal card' out of it. What can I say...everything I do is a process.
{flower}
I cut this flower using the Cricut {very slowly, the Cricut and I are becoming friends}, then I mounted it on an old spring, so when the card is sitting up the flower 'bobbles' around {I wish I had a better picture for you}. I punched a small hole through the back paper {purple polka dots} and attached the other end of the spring to the card using a brad. The butterfly has been cut on MME's paper using the Tim Holtz Movers&Shakers die and attached {crazy glued} to a spring.
{base}
The bottom simply has another rescued piece from the {frustrating} explosion card, as well as, another butterfly. For the butterflies {or most any other symmetrical shape - heart, circle, and so on} you simply cut out three from the same paper and score each in half, fold each one in half a little more then the other and glue {in the center} together.
I hope everyone has a FANTASTIC weekend, I know I will! My Mom, Sister, Niece and I are heading to Kitchener for SCRAPFEST! Maybe we'll see you there?
Great Days,
Jazz
For something that was hesded for the garbage pail this turned out amazingly adorable. I wish my blunders could turn out even half as nice. Looking forward to this weekend too. luv, Mom
ReplyDeletesometimes the best thing to do is set it aside- or walk away for a bit. I do that all the time. And look what a beautiful card came of it!!! Love the flower & the spring is so whimsy. Love the layered butterfly.
