These Things Take Time

***PHOTOS HAVE BEEN REMOVED...OUT FOR PUBLICATION***
This month I joined in the Progressive Challenge over at Scrapbook Challenges. Each week a new set of steps were posted in the forum and we had until the following week to add them to our progressing layouts!
WEEK ONE STEPS:
Choose your photo - don't add it yet.
Choose a soft or faded patterned paper.
Distress or rip one corner
Place a plain paper beneath.
 WEEK TWO STEPS:
Add 1-3 paper strips, 1 piece of lace and stitching {faux or real}
Remember you can dress your papers and embellies up with mists, inks and paint!
{I used burlap trim place of lace and had to add an 'extra layer' of paper, due to an unexpected FIGHT with the SEWING MACHINE...grrr!}
WEEK THREE STEPS:
Crop your photo into a circle or oval and frame it.
Place embellishments behind the photo.
{My photo is only 3x4, so I couldn't crop it anymore...}
WEEK FOUR STEPS {FINAL PRODUCT}:
Add ribbons and a bow and something that flies.
Add shadows as needed. {for digital}
I improvised, a bit, on this step... did a quick makeover on my sun, added some seagulls and twine, in place of lace.  I added the TITLE, because, well, I just LOVE titles! {These are actually random, leftover chipboard letters that have been painted with TREMCLAD PAINT, sprinkled with gold glitter and then sanded down} This challenge was a TON of fun, I was always looking forward to the next steps...wondering and guessing what they would be! Stop by the FORUM to check out the other girl's layouts...and join in the fun next month!

GREAT DAYS and HAPPY SCRAPPING!
