Christmas Came Early!

A Christmas Tag:
I'll admit, I've been doing a {little} bit of online shopping lately...you know, that Christmas shopping we do for ourselves... Anyway, I stumbled across Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps {PPRS} while 'browsing' and immediately fell in love with their rubber stamps and matching dies!  I purchased a set of their Christmas Stamps {as well as, the matching die} and was beyond excited when they arrived in the mail!
{Close Up}
I simply punched out PPRS Christmas Cardinal on plain, white cardstock {in the Original Sizzix} and then stamped it with the PPRS co-ordinating stamp {notice the beautiful detail}.  I used Tim Holtz - Aged Mahogany Distress Ink {stamp pad} and embossed with a sparkly red... I LOVE the outcome! {and will definitely be doing more shopping!}
{Detail Shot}
 I started this tag with just a plain, manila shipping tag, traced it onto a piece of Brown Core'dinations cardstock and {hand} cut it out {attaching the two together}.  I then folder embossed the tags and distress inked with {Tim Holtz} Walnut Stain.  I found a couple of sticks outside, cut them to size and hot glued them to the tag {added a bit of 'snow'}.  I cut out a couple of holly leaves {from My Mind's Eye paper}, folder embossed them with snowflakes, inked them with {Tim Holtz} Bundled Sage and heat embossed them using a green sparkle.
I cut a star {from an original Sizzix die} out of a pop can, folder embossed it and alcohol inked it for a 'copper' effect.  {I do wish that this came out a bit bigger, but it's always that size in between that I seem to be looking for...}
I attached a couple of red {dollarstore} rhinestones to the {red&white striped} tag which is My Mind's Eye paper, cut from a sizzix die. The PPRS sentiment {from the Christmas pack} has been stamped onto My Mind's Eye {Halloween} paper, and has been embossed with a clear sparkle. I added a Rusty Snowflake, which I bought off of Etsy, along with a 'dangly' crystal to the ribbon {from my stash} and tied a knot!

Now, I am not a big 'stamper', however, I have fallen in LOVE with Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps!  They have such cute, beautiful and versatile designs, be sure to head over to their site and, perhaps, do some Christmas shopping of your own!

Great Days!

**ADD ON** I should have mentioned that the 'snow effect' is a product called SnowWriter by DecoArt.  I did sprinkle it with some white/clear glitter afterwards.  It is, what I would call, an okay product.  It comes in a wonderful bottle {2fl.oz. for about $5 at Michaels} with a precision tip.  After the bottle is empty {waste not, want not} I might clean it out and fill it with Martha Stewart's Glittery Snow {this comes in a larger jar at Michaels for about $12}. If anyone has ever tried the MS Snow would you please let me know your thoughts?
