Look At What I Got!

This was a GREAT weekend!  Fun was had by all at Scrapfest in Kitchener!  I did a little...okay maybe more than a little, scrappy shopping! I want to show you one of the items I bought; The Dymo Caption Maker {$22 Canadian}
While I was waiting to pay for my purhases at a {wonderful} booth, a lady was demonstrating just exactly how this neat, {little} gadget works! Okay, you insert a font tray {round circles with the blue on it - you get 3 different fonts}, then insert the provided {black} 3/8" tape {OR you can cut a 3/8" strip of {amazing} Core'dinations Cardstock and use that}...then you simply turn the wheel to spell out what you'd like to say and squeeze the trigger!
So here is how it looks at first, if you use the cardstock:
Then you sand it to reveal the Core colour:
I was SOLD! This is a handy tool for someone who loves to distress everything {like moi!}, so it quickly found it's way into my purchase pile! Now if you decided to use plain cardstock, then you would simply ink the embossed letters!
{font#2}
{font#3 - done on provided black tape}
 Now I will admit that I thought I was going to experience some buyer's remorse...but I haven't! You do have to get a feel for the 'amount of squeeze' to give the trigger...but you quickly get a feel for that.  Hopefully tomorrow I will have finished {and posted} the project I am working on using my new toy!

Great Days my Scrappy Friends!

    1. Definitely! It is SO easy to work and adds a little something extra - rather than typing all journaling {or hand-writing - which with me is hit and miss}! You'll have lots of fun!

    1. Exactly! I don't know if you could fanagle {spelling?} an old labeler to work with cardstock...but it could be worth a try!

  10. You have to try vellum paper strips in it- don't squeeze quite as hard... the results are pretty cool in an understated sort of way...
    (I use thick vellum, not the real flimsy stuff.)
