As soon as the warm {stifling hot} weather hits it seems the schedule FILLS to the max! Between backyards, patios, sports and gardening, I don't see as much of my scrappy supplies as I would like. I managed to whip together a card for the birthday of a {dear} friend.
'Happy Birthday to You'
I wanted this card to have a Victorian look...with a bit of an edgy vibe. I used Mind's Eye's 'Follow Your Heart', paired with Kreaxion's Punch 304 {no insert for border; insert C for corners} and a bit of modelling compound {if you haven't used this - TRY IT!...it is SO much fun!} to achieve this look, I must say that I am quite happy with the outcome.
{different angle}
The bow is a strip of silk, purchased from Fabricland {Although silk can be expensive, I find that it ties so beautifully AND I love the way it frays...so, I buy the smallest amount possible and approximately get 10 {medium?} bows from it}. To form the dots out of modelling compound I used a piece of 'confetti ribbon' as a stencil and smashed the compound over it {it's that shiny ribbon that has all of the holes in it}, then I rubbed TH Distress Ink {Victorian Velvet} over it.
Happy Tuesday to you All!
Great Days!
