My Sweet, {Definitely NOT Camera-Shy} Girl!

Puppy Love
I think she is going in for a lick...this is what happens most of the time I try to take a picture of her...she tries to EAT the CAMERA! This layout has been made using KREAXION'S AMAZING CIRCLE CUTTER - for such a tiny thing it sure can create some BIG CIRCLES {1"-10"} - More details at Just Imagine Crafts.  I took the Amy Tangerine paper and made a grid on the back - wherever the lines overlapped, I cut a circle, it has been 'popped up' with POPDOTS for some depth...

Apple Of My Eye

For the last couple of years I have had the PRIVILEGE of accompanying my nephew on his yearly school trip to Thompson's Orchards...Sadly, this September marked our last Apple Orchard Trip together {well, school trip, anyway}...
'An Apple A Day'
Zood LOVES picking Apples - in fact, this year he asked dear 'Grandma' Thompson if he could have a job - to which she replied - 'Come back in about 10 years'! I think the reason he LOVES it so much is that he gets to eat as many apples as he likes - and the kid LOVES to eat!
 For this layout I wanted to stick with RED - so I doubled up on two different shades of cardstock for the main backer.  Then I added some {Christmas - shh!} patterned paper and a couple of layers of 'tags'.  The title and date were PRESSED out on my Dymo Caption Maker {the best SCRAPPY TOOL I have bought this year!!!}  I added a Kraft Envelope {left-hand side behind veneer arrow} that holds all of the extra pictures of the day!
{Grandma Thompson & Zach}
Every year the JK&SK class {about 60 kids} take this trip - the Thompson's are SO GREAT - the kids get a bag of apples to take home, a HUGE basket of apples to take to class to make applesauce with, a few pumpkins, gourds and ears of corn, a wooden turkey tail and head kit to paint and put in their pumpkins, apple cider and timbits {donut holes}, PLUS the Thompson's bring in apples for the ENTIRE SCHOOL to enjoy throughout the school year! AMAZING!

Happy Scrapping and HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all my US Neighbours!!!

I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas...

'Merry&Bright'
I have been wanting to make some of my Christmas cards using mainly white - with a fresh and clean look. So, I came up with these simple {and extremely quick} cards using my Kreaxions 4in1 Punch #312.  I simply printed the sentiment off of my computer onto the white cardstock. Then I marked the center of the {white} cardstock and lined up my punch {so that it was centered}. I decided to add a POP! of bright colour with the back cardstock, which lines the entire inside of the card.

Over the summer President's Choice {PC} had the Summer BBQ Tour - you voted for your community and if you won {which our city did!!!}, PC would throw a city-wide BBQ, complete with Bob Blummer {Food Network} and a HEDLEY concert! Plus, the whole thing was FREE!!! {whoo hoo!}  So, my Ma, niece and youngest nephew packed up, waited {a while} in line, GOT FREE SUNGLASSES...and had a GREAT TIME! There was a TON of food, a TON of people...and a TON of FUN things to do!!!
Here are a few more pics of the day...{which have been place in an envelope, attached to the back of the above layout!}

All You Need Is Love...

Love Is All You Need
This card has been made using my Kreaxion's Punch, Circle Cutter, Stencils and Positioning Parts - I am in LOVE with the look of the punched circle! {Those 4in1 punches are AMAZING!!} I have made this card for my Gram, she has been in the hospital for some time and I am going to travel to see her...so, I thought this might bring a smile to her face - hopefully!
{detail shot}
I have used my MrHueys Hexagon Mask with light modelling compound to achieve some texture - I then ran my finger, dipped in Gesso, over the dried compound. All of the edges of the paper have been sanded with 150 grit sandpaper...and lightly brushed with {more} Gesso.

Great Days!

Starting Young & Taking It To A Whole New Level!

My youngest nephew, Zood, LOVES to draw...on any piece of paper he can find, which is both good and bad {bad when it's an important piece of paper, but fantastic when there are little bursts of creativity on grocery lists, to do lists, random envelopes...}.
Anyway, he had drawn me two very special little guys a while ago
GUMSTICK GUY
and JOLLY GREEN
Aren't they an adorable mess! I LOVE them! Anyway, while chatting with an online Scrappy Friend, she mentioned that she had turned one of her son's {wonderful} creations into a SMALL STUFFY! So, I asked her if she would be interested in doing these two for me {for a small fee} and she agreed!
I had a hard time getting a picture due to the fact that Zood keeps them with him at most times! I can't tell you how excited he was to receive them, they even travelled with him to Show&Share at school!
Thank you, Allison!

To see Allison's amazing work head to Orange You Glad Daily!
Happy Days!

Tagged!

I love making tags, they are just small pieces of, well, beauty.  I have made this one using my Perched Reed Bird die from Just Imagine Crafts.
I have bedazzled the tiny bird with white glitter and nested him in a little brass frame {yardsale find 3 for 25 cents!}. The paper is a FREEBIE from my Ma {thanks Ma!} and the gold is {a little embarrassed here} the wrapper from a Caramilk Bar {I peeled the foil from the white paper that touches the actual chocolate bar...and yeah, paper - See, snacking while scrapping isn't always bad!} I added some modeling compound and white gesso...and done!

Happy Scrapping!
