{And Another} Salvaged 'Junk' Angel

Well, the first one SOLD! so quickly... and I had requests from some lovely people to make more... SO, here she is "Shining Brightly"
She measures a wonderful 43" - from the top of her halo to the tip of her toes!
 Reclaimed Architectural Findings, Hardware, Kitchenware, and more have been pieced together to make this sweet Angel up!

A gathering of goodies
 Grasped in her 'hand' is a grouping of mixed items, such as; a Mixed Media Domino, Chandelier Crystals, Teeny-Tiny Light Bulbs, and a Turquoise Leather Heart

A {Little} Angel - Salvaged Junk Project

I have been getting my hands dirty while sorting&purging the garage {more sorting... less purging}! Some of the items have been getting put to {good} use - like all of the 'junk' repurposed, here!
Salvaged 'Junk' Angel
Made using old scraps of wood, furniture bits, hardware, tin tile, bed springs, and more - she is just the sweetest thing!
Quite long; measuring 39" from tips of the toes to the top of her halo!
No project is complete without a {vintage} brooch!
A Thimble-Full of goodness!
Her hand holds a wire heart, simple cross, mixed media domino, old key, and some {vintage} tinkling bells!

Enjoy this day!

Fall - A {MUCH} Welcome Change!

I HATE muggy weather... and, where I come from {a smallish town in SouthWestern, Ontario}, it.gets.hot. It seems as though the seasons have changed... and the Fall weather is {finally} upon us!
This also means the house needs a little 'seasonal decoration' to mark this wonderful time of the year!
Mantle - I decided to go with Owls - mainly because I bid and won an adorable, little owl in a recent auction. Also, they remind me of my Gram, who was a Tawny Owl in the {Canadian} Girl Guides.
 {My Gram's 'Tawny Owl} ... and some twigs 'stolen' from my neighbour's yard
My 'auction' owl, a painted, vintage Crown Mason Jar and owls by John James Audubon
I made the bunting from brown, gold and burlap material I had around the house... a quick project {just cut strips of material and layer them... fold over and tie ... thread string through loop and hang.
The leaves {on the stolen sticks and bunting} are cut from Pop Cans, using Tim Holtz die - Tattered Leaves.  I found a GREAT tutorial on this, using alcohol inks at... Saved By Love Creations ... the only thing I did differently as to add the veins in my leaves by 'bending and folding' them into shape.
 {see... pop cans}
... and, also, the front door received a new wreath...
... complete with a second, adorable, auction owl!

Hoping that your fall decorating is going well!

A Full Schedule...

It's been a while since I have posted - things have been so crazy, but I have a quick moment to post some projects that should have been posted quite some time ago for the Just Imagine Crafts Design Team! Well, as they say, better late than never!

Hello There.
I made this card for a new {online} Scrappy Friend! -Just a quick card using the Kreaxion's Circle Cutter and a new stamp from Creatiate's Etsy Store - some really amazing and fun stamps!

Make A Wish
This card was for my Grandmother's Birthday {June 01}.  I layered two inner punched circles and added a ring of orange under the top {layer} to make the punched flowers POP!
Have a GREAT day!

Sugar and Spice... and Everything Nice!

SWEET BABY
For this tag I used KREAXION'S 4in1 Punch 906 - I simply cut 2" strips of the same {pink} paper, and then ran it through my punch {with no insert}... what came out was THREE different borders. I put one aside for future use, and cut the remaining two down to the needed size.  I then layered them to create a 'ruffled' look.
I added some Studio Calico Veneer letters and a couple scrolls of rhinestones... along with the large bow! Now I just need to find the perfect shower gift to attach this to!

Thanks for stopping by!

Clean&Simple

Hi All! Here with a quick, clean and simple card using the Kreaxion's Circle Cutter - from Just Imagine Crafts!
BLESS YOUR HEART
I cut the circle just big enough to use my NEW Creatiate Heart Stamp {ETSY}, which I stamped on the main part of the card.  The Glitz paper has been 'doodled' on - which I have FALLEN IN LOVE with doing and mounted with pop-dots.

Thanks for stopping by - and enjoy whatever your day brings!

Organize My {S}Crap

Well, the 're-vamping' of my scrappy room has been going on for sometime now...{since September 2012} Now, I know that seems like a LONG TIME, but if you fit everyday life, planning a friend's wedding and feeling a little under the weather in there, it really isn't that long - and it has been mostly done for sometime, just some odds and ends needing to be put into place.

Anyway, I thought I would post a few pics of my on-going {scrappy} organization.
EMBELLISHMENTS
Left: Recollections {16 compartment} Drawer filled with {dollarama} Jars with random 'embellishments' in them {I have 32 of these jars - YIKES}
Right: Magnetic Spice Jars - mounted onto a Magnetic White Board {Staples}... I have quite a few of these, as well {anybody need any embellies??}! I label all of them and attach one embellishment to the top.
STICKLES/GLITTER GLUE/MISTERS
My bottles have a magnet attached to them {Glitter Glue - on the bottom, keeps the air from getting to the top of the bottle} and are hung on a small, metal strip I bought at LOWES.
All of my Misters have been numbered on the bottle AND in my 'Scrappy Supply Book'.  Each card contains the 'recipe' for the individual colour... then I know how to make it again!
DIES/EMBOSSING FOLDERS/STENCILS
All stored in Recollections 4-Drawer Cubes - fit wonderfully!
For 'thin' dies, I cut a square piece of cardstock and a slightly smaller piece of SIZZIX PACKAGING - I stitched the packaging to the cardstock, leaving ONE SIDE open, creating a pocket - Just label and slide the die in!
 STICKERS
Stored by category {boy/girl/Christmas/etc} in a Recollections Slotted 2-Drawer Cube
 ALPHAS/NUMBERS
Full sheets are stored in another Recollections Slotted 2-Drawer Cube - and then the random/loose pieces are stored in 'pockets' made from vintage dictionary pages.
 PAPER
All of my 'SCRAPS' are separated by colour in a large file folder tote {Wal-Mart}
 So, are you bored yet from the LONG POST! Well, will break and post the rest at a later date! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Green Earth

Happy Earth Day, all! Hope you spend today REDUCING, REUSING and RECYCLING! Today I am posting an EARTH TONE layout for DT Reveal Day at  JUST IMAGINE CRAFTS

AN APPLE A DAY {is REALLY NOT ENOUGH for THIS Growing Boy}
I used the Kreaxion's Circle Cutter to QUICKLY cut the rings that frame the pictures of my adorable {youngest} Nephew, Zood.  We had gone to Thompson's Orchards on a class trip {Sept.2012} - where we picked apples and learned all about the growth, harvesting and varieties of Apples! Zood LOVED it... I think mainly because the got to pick and EAT as many apples as he wanted... and trust me, the kid can eat - A LOT! {PLUS he got to take a BIG BAG of apples home with him!}
I stuck with different shades of GREENS AND BROWNS... and added that POP! of gorgeous APPLE RED {that counts as an Earth tone, right?}

STOP BY the JUST IMAGINE CRAFT BLOG to check out the OTHER DT Reveals!

Extreme Makeover - SCRAPBOOK Edition!

You know how it goes, you look through your finished Scrapbook Pages - and think - who made these, ugh. Well, when I get that feeling, I give the page a 'facelift'... sometimes a complete overhaul. Quite sometime ago, I had scrapped this 12x12 layout of my oldest, adorable nephew - BUCK-O.
{original layout}
 It was not a matter of liking or disliking this layout... it came down to size, the books that I have for my niece and two crazy nephews are 8.5x8.5 and 8x8 - I wanted this layout in his, but it wouldn't fit, so I decided on a re-do.
THIS IS THE FACE THAT MAKES MY WORLD BRIGHT
 I wanted to keep the colour scheme, title and other bits and pieces the same {or similar}...So, as you can see, I made the sun a little 'brighter' and the title a little 'tighter'.  I kept the vintage, floral button, the metal ring and the same letters for the word WORLD.  I have condensed and hidden the journaling on that small tag and slightly cropped the picture.

So, do you every give your layouts a nip and tuck??
