Your Kindness

Happy Wednesday, everyone!!! Today is going to be a doozy of a post!  Not only is it my Wednesday Post at Just Imagine Crafts, but I have a few {Scrappy} Goodies I am clearing out, which I will list at the end of this post!
YOUR KINDNESS
This card has been made using KREAXION'S PUNCH 918 with the optional STENCILS and POSITIONING PARTS to create a beautiful punched circle!  The paper is the stunning London Market Collection by Pink Paislee {I LOVE! this paper!!!} and Bazzil Cardstock.  I have typed the sentiment out on my computer, trimmed TWO of the corners with my corner rounder and added some Prima Rhinestones for some corner detail.
The KREAXION'S 4in1 Punch creates a number of different punches - just by switching the plastic insert! {You receive these plastic inserts with the purchase of each punch!}  What you can end up with is TWO different borders and TWO different corners! {*see below}
Kreaxions Punch {918}
Border Punches using NO PLASTIC INSERT {bottom} or INSERT 'A' {top}
Corner Punches using PLASTIC INSERTS 'B' or 'C'

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

...I am being sarcastic, and let me tell you why! Better yet, let me SHOW you why...
CHICKEN POX...welcome back to school...ugh, so today I will be spending the day with my WONDERFUL NEPHEWS {who I will report are completely PINK {calamine lotion} and in GOOD SPIRITS!}
Today, I am also bringing you a CHRISTMAS {SnowGlobe} Card that I made with the amazing Kreaxion's Circle Cutter!
MERRY&BRIGHT
It was quite simple to make, just simply cut a circle through a patterned paper {trees} and a slightly smaller circle though the base of your card {green cardstock}. Then cut two identical circles out of acetate {slightly larger than the circle cut in your patterned paper} and sandwich some white glitter in between the two layers - adhere together. Attach the acetate 'snow globe' in between the patterned paper and plain cardstock...and done! {I did add another patterned paper to the inside of the card - which you can see through the 'globe'} Then I just finished it off with a few other details, including SNOWFLAKES from Kreaxion's 4in1 Punch 312! {More details and pictures at Just Imagine Crafts}

Flat Die Storage

I have been continuing to re-organize my Scrappy Stash and found {Thank you, PINTEREST!} this fantastic way to store flat dies.
{Flat Die Storage}
It was quite simple, you simply need cardstock, acetate {think recycled!}, a sewing machine and labels.
1} Cut the Cardstock to the desired size - mine are 6" square
2} Cut the acetate into a touch smaller square than your cardstock {for my acetate I used the packages my TH/Sizzix Dies come in - one box produced two squares}
3} Stitch three sides of the acetate to the cardstock, leaving one side open, creating a pocket
4} Insert your flat die into the pocket
5} Label your pocket with the name and make of the die {I used Avery labels and my computer...I like things to look the same and my handwritting is definitely NOT consistant!}
...and that's it - brand new Die Storage!
GREAT DAYS!

Tag Along With Me

Recently the topic of ATC Swaps {artist trading cards} came up in a forum I belong to and I decided that I would love to participate in something like that...only with a bit of a twist.  I want to trade TAGS with one person from every Country...start a collection of works from around the world!  When I posted my idea,  one of the {kind} ladies {we'll call her 'P'}, expressed that she would LOVE to be my USA tag {I might decide to do every {US} State and Canadian Province...haven't decided, yet}.  So, I quickly {and excitedly} started to create my tag, to be sent to P, and here is what I came up with!
'TINY BIRD, BIG SONG'
{'I feel like a tiny bird with a BIG song'}

{the backside}
The printed paper it My Mind's Eye and the sentiment was printed on the paper {that's how it came}, the sweet, diecut bird is from Just Imagine Crafts and has been glittered to the extreme. I added some light modelling compound to add some texture and ran some white gesso over it. I made the {beaded} tassel from my ever-growing bead collection {I have ALWAYS had a love for pretty beads...and jewelry} and attached it with a pretty, blue bow {stolen while I was visiting my Ma...THANKS MA!}.  I sprayed the tag with KRYLON Stays Clear {yes, the outdoor paint}.

A {Little} Seasoning

GLITTER STORAGE - I never use glitter, it is just too messy - I own it, just never use it, until...
 I moved it all to salt and pepper shakers.
Now is just sprinkles out quite nicely...I have even used it on a couple projects!
I bought the shakers at my local dollarstore {dollarama} and the rack was a piece my Gram was getting rid of.
{before}
{after}
{another shot}
I am moving on to painting my room next {fingers crossed, FRIDAY} and will start to move stuff back in on the weekend.  I am having a couple of shelves built for some other supplies and will be purchasing my shelves {from M's} shortly! Things are moving along!
GREAT DAYS!

The Time Has Come

...to give my {little} scraproom a face lift! I decided to re-organize my ever-growing stash of scrappy supplies while they are being pulled out of the room, so they can go back in exactly how I want them! I have been busy PINNING amazing storage ideas that I would like to incorporate into my newly organized room...and I have actually started to execute some of these ideas.
{CHECK MY PINS OUT HERE}
I spent last night sorting my scrap paper...and I keep EVERY little snip!
I came across these wonderful, colour-coded and FREE labels at Yellow Mums blog, had them printed on adhesive paper and attached them to the hanging file folders.
{I added a large 'tab' {that sticks UP} to the file folders by cutting a piece slightly larger than the colour-coded label from an 'extra' file folder}
The files are hanging in a 'rubbermaid-style', clear box and should travel quite easily {to crops, vacations and such!} I then filled it, to the max, with my multitude of SCRAPS - and when I was finished, decided I will be splitting these files between TWO boxes!
I will be making a couple of 'extra' labels for multi-coloured paper, packaging and natural...all in all, I am extremely happy with the outcome!

NEXT, I pulled out my BLING and used an idea that came from a 'scrappy friend' on the SB.com Forum {topic SCRAPROOM QUESTION}.  I cut 2.5" x 3.5" {baseball card size} pieces of cardstock to match the colour of bling and then slide them both {matching bling and cardstock} into the baseball card protector {in a binder}.  This way, my rhinestones will stay attached to their plastic sheet AND it will be easy to find the colour I am looking for, just by looking at the colour of cardstock!

I also tidied my RIBBON stash by cutting some chipboard {scraps from the back of paper packs} down to 2.5" x 5" and simply wrapping the ribbon around and securing with a straight pin! {I did punch a hole in the top because I didn't know if I would be hanging these or just keep them in this old drawer!}
There will be more to come over the next while, as this is my SEPTEMBER project! If you have any storage/organization ideas that you could not live without {or, wish you had done/to do} in your Scrappy Room...pass it along!

GREAT DAYS!
